The Musos Cookbook
The Sunbury Rock Festival
The Sunbury Rock Festival in 1972 was a dream. I was asked to photograph it for a newspaper. I went with the famous country music journalist “Dave Dawson,” a good friend of mine. Wandering around and taking photos of people expressing themselves as nature and music spirits was both amazing and scary. My job was to photograph everyone, including the naked ones. I didn’t take many photos of the bands. There was a big crowd of Hell’s Angels between my site and the stage. So I was scared to walk through them. I did once, I had to, and I amazingly survived. This book is a combination—a record—of the people I hung out with in the 1970s and the kind of food I used to cook. I hope you enjoy it because it is another scary reminder of how much things have changed before and after the internet. The internet has done its job on humanity. Instead of millions of soul connections (represented by the planet Neptune and Pisces), we now have millions of electronic connections (represented by Uranus and Aquarius; yes, we are in the age of Aquarius). All these connections, with others, are well and good, but without a strong one with our soul, or inner self, they are dangerous and debilitating. We are talking about addictions, mind control, obsessive behavior, artificial relationships, unrealistic perceptions of skill, and a dependency on toys and tools that is spinning out of control. I sound negative because the end game is nearly here: total submission to robots and artificial intelligence. As our dependency grows, so does the power of governments, big tech, and robots. We have reached the point of no return. If you are wondering if I am right, take a good look at this book that celebrates the beauty of humanity and our spiritual powers, not the electronic toys that are enslaving us.
